Pierre Clavé (France)

Pierre Clavé is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, trained guitarist. He plays on an Alhambra model 8Fc guitar. Self-taught, Pierre Clavé discovered Flamenco, Arabic-Ottoman and Oud music at the age of 18 and went on to learn oriental finger percussion (Daff, Riq, Darbouka), Oud and Santur. Through his travels and encounters, he collaborates on various artistic projects as a musician, composer, arranger and works with renowned artists from the Arab world (Behnam Keryo, singer (Iraq), Raed Tamimi, conductor (Jordan), Salem Bnouni, violinist (Tunisia) and shares the stage with many artists such as the Joubran Trio. Pierre Clavé has participated as a guest musician on many albums, he has also been a composer of film music, dance and singing accompaniment, as well as a teacher in conservatories teaching contemporary music and world music. Pierre Clavé is an artist in metamorphosis, he is permanently in the cultural and musical center. In fact "Tahawal / Metamorphose" is Pierre Clavé's first album, tinged with Arab-Ottoman and flamenco sounds, contained in a Pop format. An instrumental, multicultural, permanent and total metamorphosis, composed and recorded entirely in improvised solo taqasims, oriental and with cyclical melodies, from Oud to guitar, Tahawal is like a bridge launched between East and West.
