¿Tocar la guitarra durante un viaje? Cómo transportarla - Alhambra Guitarras

Playing guitar while traveling? How to transport it

For many, the guitar is the perfect travel companion. Those who are passionate about playing the guitar need to take their classical guitar or some other type of guitar with them on every trip, so they can enjoy its company wherever they go. Often, this instrument can become a real headache depending on the mode of transportation used. In the case of the Spanish guitar, as with all other guitars, it requires specific care and precautions during travel to avoid any type of damage. Whether traveling by car, train, or bus, it is essential to keep it in its perfectly protected case, so that any shocks are cushioned during the journey. Furthermore, it is important that this instrument not be exposed to high temperatures. Likewise, special care should be taken to properly place it in the luggage rack of the train or bus. For air travel, even more care must be taken. Many airlines allow musicians to travel with their instruments in the cabin, as if it were carry-on luggage. As much as possible, the guitar should be kept close to the traveler so it can be monitored at all times. If the airline doesn't allow it to be transported in the cabin, the strings should be loosened to prevent the guitar from becoming overly tense and cracking due to the change in pressure or breaking from any undue impact. Whatever means of transport chosen, the guitar must be well protected with a good case that allows for complete insulation and protection. Only then will you be able to enjoy the best guitar music after the trip.
