The soul behind the strings: Why do we say ‘I am Spanish’?

There are sounds that cannot be mass-produced. There is a special vibration that only occurs when wood, patiently selected and lovingly cared for by expert hands, finally decides to sing.

In a world that moves too fast, where mass production and the ephemeral seem to be winning the day, we have decided to pause and reflect in our workshop. From that pause comes our most personal campaign: Yo Sí Soy Española (I Am Indeed Spanish).

It's not just an origin, it's a craft

This crusade is not born out of a sense of borders, but out of a sense of roots. We defend the Spanish guitar for what it is: a living cultural heritage.

When we say ‘I am Indeed Spanish’, we are defending:

  • Real craftsmanship: Unlike automated factories that produce thousands of identical instruments, we choose the workbench, the plane and the sandpaper in our workshops in Muro de Alcoy.

  • Respect for time: A handcrafted guitar is not built, it is waited for. We respect the drying times and the personality of each grain.

  • Our roots: We honour the workers who have taught us that the secret to a good guitar lies not in the machine, but in the materials, the ear and the touch of the craftsman.

Our defense of authenticity is backed by our membership in the Foro de Marcas Renombradas de España (Leading Brands of Spain Forum).

As members of this institution, we share a space with the country's most iconic brands, working together to enhance the image of Spanish products worldwide. Being part of this forum is a key element of our 'Yo Sí Soy Española' campaign, as it ratifies our position as a benchmark for quality craftsmanship and drives us to continue representing the best of our culture and tradition in every corner of the planet.

At Alhambra Guitarras, we choose the difficult path —quality over quantity— which is the one that is truly worth it. The path that ensures every hour in the workshop and every single detail is perceptible to the musician's fingers.

A handcrafted guitar is a dialogue between the tree and the musician. Our job is simply to facilitate that perfect conversation.

A hallmark for 2026

We want this commitment to be visible. That is why, throughout 2026, each of our guitars will leave the workshop bearing the image of the campaign Yo Sí Soy Española (I Am Indeed Spanish).

It is not just a label; it is our seal of guarantee, a statement of principles and a tribute to the craft we love. When you see this bracelet, you will know that you have in your hands an instrument with soul, made entirely here, respecting the tradition that makes us unique.

Join our cause

Yo Si Soy Española is an invitation. We want you to join us in defending authenticity. By choosing a handcrafted guitar, you are not only acquiring a superior quality instrument; you are protecting a craft that is at risk of disappearing under the weight of industrialisation.

We invite you to be part of this story. To vindicate, with every chord, with every note, that things done well are priceless.
