Muro de Alcoy, January 10, 2020.- The guitar, that difficult instrument, known throughout the world and where young guitarists dedicate a large part of their lives to perfect.
From Manufacturas Alhambra an important effort is made to support competitions, contests and other events, where the objective is the promotion of young guitarists and the majestic Spanish guitar.
From Spain to Germany, India, China and many other countries where Spanish guitar culture is present and its followers make a tremendous effort to boost it, Alhambra Guitars moves its support to help promote young guitarists.
This month two very important appointments for the guitar take shape, the Andrés Segovia Contest and the beginning of the Guitar Master in Alicante.
XXXV INTERNATIONAL CLASSIC GUITAR "ANDRÉS SEGOVIA" COMPETITION
This 2020 annuity, from January 7 to 11 in La Herradura, Granada, is celebrating a new edition of the prestigious International Classical Guitar Contest “Andrés Segovia”.
An edition dedicated to Manuel de Falla and Joaquín Rodrigo, as a tribute and memory to these incredible composers.
Alhambra Guitars, in its support for the promotion of young guitarists, collaborate in the second prize of this contest by donating a guitar specifically designed for the occasion. An instrument built by our Luthier Javier Mengual, with sides and back of Madagascar Rosewood, cedar top and in which the latest innovations of Manufacturas Alhambra have been applied.
VIII Guitar Master of Alicante
The Master in Interpretation of Classical Guitar of Alicante already has eight editions of life. Eight courses in which more than a hundred young guitarists from around the globe have been trained, by some of the most recognized masters in the world of guitar. David Rusell, Ricardo Gallen, Carles Trepat, the Assad brothers or the same director of the master, Nacho Rodes, are some examples.
For the 2020 edition, in which 12 students have enrolled, Manufacturas Alhambra collaborates with a scholarship to the Mexican student, Hugo Enrique Sánchez López. A promise of the classical guitar to which in addition to contributing to the cost of the master, an Alhambra guitar will be assigned to your choice. A guitar to select from the range called Signature Guitars, the luthier guitars of Alhambra.
XV Alhambra International Guitar Competition 2020
From June 2 to 6, 2020, the fifteenth edition of the Alhambra Competition will take place in Valencia, an appointment recorded every two years on the schedule of young guitarists from around the world.
A competition in which since 1991, Manufacturas Alhambra brings all its love and possible resources to help the promotion of young guitarists.
With a first prize of 14,000 euros plus the recording of a CD for the Naxos record label, every two years the future promises of the Spanish guitar come together in this contest.
