AMPARANOIA (SPAIN)
Amparanoia (1997-2008) was the name of the musical group created by Amparo Sánchez , one of the pioneers of fusion music in Spain. The group was born in 1996 in the Lavapiés neighborhood (Madrid) and was a pioneer of the fusion of the late 90s in our country and an international reference with a long career full of albums (eight), tours and recognition .
In 2022, they met for the first time in the studio with the group Artistas del Gremio , a charanga or brass band from Zaragoza, and recorded the song and video for "Mi Genética, Charanga Versión." The second was at a legendary concert in Granada at the end of Amparanoia 's tour to commemorate the band's 25th anniversary. The chemistry with Artistas del Gremio was so strong that they began planning to record together, and so they did. From that third meeting, the recordings of unreleased songs and also versions of the Andalusian artist's classic repertoire blossomed: A Balkan-Mex-swing-electro-charanga-mestiza bomb!!!
As a result of this blend of strength and versatility, three singles and music videos have been released: "Algo Esta Pasado," "La Balanza," and "Fanfarria." The full album "Fan Fan Fanfarria " will be released in 2024 on limited-edition blue vinyl and on digital platforms. The two bands will tour together with a stunning live show, on a tour that will take them to venues across Spain and some international surprises in 2024 and 2025. The messages and career of Amparanoia, along with the energy and madness of Artistas del Gremio, combine electronic beats, wind instruments, and songs of life. An unmissable ode to music and celebration.
