
JOSE LOSADA (SPAIN)
José Losada studied with Entri , a great flamenco guitar teacher, Carlos Camarasa as an electric guitar teacher, and Pipo López as a harmony teacher in Madrid. He has played with guitarists such as Paco de Lucía, Dayán Abad, Jopi Eric, Juan Calleja , among others. In 1987, he participated in a musicians' workshop in Madrid with Richi Ferrer, a great bassist and double bassist specializing in jazz. José Losada formed the group Amalgama with musicians such as Antonio Ramos Maca, a bassist with whom he acquired extensive knowledge of this musical instrument. José Losada admired his cousins and uncles from a very young age. He so wanted to emulate them by following the path of flamenco guitar . At the age of fourteen, he made his first major breakthrough on the main stage at the Teatro de La Latina, guided by his cousin Iván Losada. This extraordinary artist, who began his career in the tablaos of Madrid, has toured the world with shows such as Las Mil y Una Noches, Misa Flamenca, Vertiges, etc. He has also worked with such relevant figures as Antonio Canales, José Maya, and Jesús Carmona.
