COTI
Coti Sorokin, known as Coti, is an Argentine singer, musician and composer born on 14 June 1973 in Rosario, Santa Fe province, Argentina.
At the beginning of his career, he composed songs for great artists such as Alejandro Lerner and Diego Torres and collaborated with Andrés Calamaro in his album ‘Honestidad Brutal’.
After two solo albums, his musical consecration came in 2005 with ‘Esta Mañana y Otros Cuentos’ in which he collaborated with artists such as Ismael Serrano, Paulina Rubio, Julieta Venegas and Josemi Carmona (Ketama). This album, recorded live, went double platinum in Spain.
Winner of the Ondas Award for Best Latin Artist 2005, his song ‘Nada Fue Un Error’ reached the number 1 position in the United States, Latin America and Spain.
Described by Andrés Calamaro as the Latin Bob Dylan, Coti has continued to reap success with his subsequent albums.
In autumn 2013, he gave the copyright of the well-known song Color Esperanza, composed by him, to the Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer (AECC), to be used in the campaign against breast cancer. The song was re-recorded by some of the best Spanish female voices: Chenoa, Nena Daconte, Rosario Flores, Luz Casal, Vanesa Martín, Rosana, Susana, from Efecto Mariposa and Paula Rojo.
With several Alhambra guitars under his belt, it's easy to spot him with the models.
