GONZALO HERMIDA
Gonzalo Hermida is a Spanish singer, songwriter, and producer, born in Cádiz on June 26, 1995.
Gonzalo developed a passion for music at a very young age, but it wasn't until he was 15 that his closest circle heard him sing for the first time, discovering his potential as an artist and encouraging him to pursue a professional career in music. He began composing his first songs and learning to play the guitar, piano, and ukulele. Some time later, when he stepped onto a stage for the first time, he reaffirmed his belief that his passion for music should take a leap from amateur to professional. At the same time, he began to self-teach recording and music production software. His musical influences are diverse, ranging from classic Spanish groups and artists like Miguel Ríos and El último de la fila to renowned international artists such as Ed Sheeran, Tommy Torres, and John Mayer, without forgetting contemporary Spanish singers.
In 2015, he moved to Madrid and began his career as a professional songwriter, working closely with prestigious authors and producers. In recent years, in addition to his own songs as a performer, he has had the opportunity to work on songs for artists such as Malú (Cenizas, Se busca, Abran Fuego...), Antonio José (El arte de vivir, Me olvidé, Eclipse, El lado bueno de las cosas, Respirar de ti...), India Martínez (La última vez, Gris...), and many others.
In 2017, Gonzalo embarked on his career as a singer-songwriter with the release of his first single "Intacto", followed by "Noche Estrellada" and "Limón," both with over 4 million streams on digital platforms. These two tracks are the first pieces of his first mini-album NATURAL, on sale since March 9. With this mini-album, Gonzalo aims to introduce his facet as a singer and continue to develop his already consolidated career as a songwriter, this time in the first person.
In 2019, he released his single "Guajira" together with Andrés Ceballos (Dvicio), which was played on all national radios. In March 2021, he released his first LP "IGNÍFUGO" independently. He is both the composer, along with other authors, and the producer of his own album, which he defines as "Ignífugo is never getting burned no matter how much you burn." An album composed of 11 previously unreleased songs, which features collaborations with artists such as Julia Medina and Funambulista. As a songwriter and producer, Hermida worked in 2021 on albums for artists such as Malú, Sergio Dalma, Julia Medina, María Parrado, Antonio José, and many others, with more than 80 songs released on the market.
Gonzalo plays the Alhambra J-SSp, D-SR y 9 P CW E8models.
