SANDRO LORIER

He is a guitarist and singer in the style of Jazz and Rumba Flamenca, he plays with an Alhambra guitar 7 Fc CT model

Born on February 21st, 1994 in Saverne in Alsace, Sandro Lorier, comes from a family of gypsy musicians. He is the son of Paquito Lorier, composer of the jazz piece "Paquito" and with whom he started with the study of the guitar.

Since he was young, he has been interested in different types of music such as Django Reinhardt's Manouche Jazz, Paco de Lucia's Flamenco Rumba or Bossa Nova, among others, being shocked to see George Benson live at Cannes. Some styles that have marked his identity as a musician.

He began his career with only 15 years old

In 2009, Sandro Lorier had already reached a good level and had the opportunity to meet and play with the famous flamenco guitarist Manitas de Plata in Saintes Maries of the Sea, who gave him some valuable advice.

In 2013, Sandro was invited to participate in a young talent contest in Paris, where he won the first prize. The audience was impressed by his right hand technique (fingerstyle), because he is one of the few, if not the only gypsy guitarist, who plays the great pieces of jazz with the flamenco technique, with the Picado and without a plectrum.

In 2014, he inaugurated a Gypsy Jazz Festival of Saint-Tropez. On October 15th, 2015, he gave three concerts at Nancy's Manufacture Theater to promote his first album entitled "Gypsy Favela". In February 2016, he accompanies the singer SHAKE at Grand REX in Paris.

On October 7th, 2016, he plays at L'Olympia from Paris next to his father for a special night of Jazz Manouche.

In July 2017, Sandro steps for the first time in the US territory giving a series of concerts in New York.

On August 15th, 2017, he offers three concerts at the Festival "Grès du Jazz" at La Petite Pierre in Grand Est to close the promotion of his first album "Gypsy Favela".

At the beginning of 2018, he released his second album titled "Fuerteventura" and the same year the third one called "Destination" with 12 titles that included 11 compositions.

In 2018, he made a concert tour in Chicago jazz clubs with his father Paquito. A tour that took him to places like the "Space" in Evanston or the famous "Green Mill", where Al Capone stayed. A tour where they also appeared on American television in St. Louis.
