Andrea González Caballero is a Spanish classical guitarist considered one of the most promising young talents in classical guitar, as corroborated by her outstanding concert career. At just eight years old, she gave her first concert and has since maintained a continuous career as a soloist.

Education and Career

At seven, she began her guitar studies under the guidance of her mother, Ana María Caballero, at the Andrés Eguiguren School of Music in Eibar. Concurrently, she took lessons from masters Bienvenido Rodríguez and Carmen Becerra until the age of twelve.

In 2010, she began her higher studies at the Robert Schumann Music University in Düsseldorf, Germany, where she graduated in 2014 under professor Joaquín Clerch. Later, in 2013, she received an Erasmus scholarship to study at the Klagenfurt University of Music in Austria with professor Marco Tamayo.

She has been supported and awarded scholarships by prestigious institutions such as the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in Bonn, the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service), AIE (Society of Performing Artists of Spain), the Provincial Council of Guipúzcoa, and the City Council of Eibar.

Concerts and International Festivals

Andrea is the winner of the XIII Alhambra International Guitar Competition held in Valencia. Throughout her career, she has performed recitals across various cities in Spain (Madrid, Barcelona, Alicante, San Sebastián, Pamplona...) as well as in Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Cuba, Mexico, and Hungary.

She has been invited to perform at renowned international events such as the Szeged International Guitar Festival (Hungary), the Monterrey Guitar Festival (Mexico), and the Isaac Nicola Festival in Havana, Cuba.

At the age of 17, she made her debut with the Andrés Eguiguren Orchestra at the Coliseo Theatre in Eibar, performing as a soloist in Joaquín Rodrigo's concert "Fantasía para un gentilhombre". Furthermore, in 2003, she performed as a soloist with the guitar orchestra of the San Sebastián Conservatory at the Kursaal Auditorium.
