MANNI WU (CHINA)
Manni Wu plays an Alhambra Deseada by Javier Mengual
Chinese classical guitarist Manni Wu was born on May 4, 1992. She began playing the guitar at age 7 under her father's instruction. In 2010, she entered the classical guitar program at the Xinghai Conservatory of Music in Guangzhou, studying under Professor Bastian Hildner from Germany.
Manni Wu successfully participated in several masterclasses with, for example, Carlo Marchione (Italy), Gabriel Bianco (France), Fabio Federico (Italy), Arnoldo Freie (Brazil), Sanel Redzic (Germany), Marcin Dylla (Poland), Marco Tamayo (Cuba), Ricardo Gallén (Spain), and Thomas Mueller-Pering (Germany).
In 2015, she passed the entrance exams for the Robert Schumann Hochschule and the Weimar Franz Liszt Musikhochschule, choosing to study under Professor Joaquín Clerch at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf, Germany. On June 20, 2017, she completed her Master's Degree with the highest marks. In 2020, she completed her Concert Exam Degree at the same institution, also with top marks. This degree is the highest music diploma in Europe.
She is currently teaching at Jiangsu Normal University in China.

During her studies at the Conservatory, she won several awards in major national guitar competitions across China, as well as international competitions, gaining extensive performance experience:

April 2014: Performed 4 concerts for the solo concert tour «Night of Guitar» in China, appearing in Weihai, Qingdao, Guangzhou, and Changzhou to a total audience of over 1,000 people.

November 2016: Formed a guitar duo with her colleague Miguel Ángel Díaz (Spain).

April 2017: Invited by sponsor Martínez Guitar, they successfully completed a concert tour across six cities in China (Hangzhou, Yiwu, Ningbo, Wenzhou, Qingyuan, Guangzhou).

August 2017: Invited by the organizers of the Valerio Indonesia International Guitar Competition as a Guest Artist to give a concert and masterclass during the festival.

March 2018: Invited by the municipal governments of Geldern and Goch in Germany as a featured artist for a solo concert in the Spring Series Music Festival.

December 2018: Invited by Martínez Guitar to perform solo concerts across 8 cities in China (Shenzhen, Suzhou, Xuzhou, Hangzhou, Xiangyang, Wuwei, Tianshui, Rizhao).

September 2019: Invited by Martínez Guitar to perform solo concerts across 5 cities in China (Chongqing, Xi'an, Wuxi, Guiyang, Guangzhou).

January 2020: Invited by the Neue Rheinische Kammerorchester (North Rhine-Westphalia) to perform the famous guitar concerto «Concierto de Aranjuez» in Düsseldorf, Germany.

July 2021: Organized a Summer Guitar Camp at the Changsha Concert Hall, China.

August 2021: Performed as a soloist at the Shanghai Oriental Art Center, China.
