He graduated with honours from the State Musical College of pop and jazz art in 2007 and from the State Classical Academy in 2012 where he received guitar lessons from Nikolay Golovnya. During his studies at the university he was a scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Vladimir Spivakov Foundation. Nikita was also awarded a state award for supporting young talents by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation (2006). Awards and recognition Nikita Boldyrev is included in the World Book of Records as “the person who set the world record for the speed of mastering the guitar repertoire” (the formulation of the Russian Bureau for the registration of records, 2001). Nikita Boldyrev has been awarded in numerous Russian and international competitions, both in classical and jazz guitar. Nikita Boldyrev's style is based on the union of classical music and jazz. His repertoire can be described as "jazz on classical guitar" and "finger style". He has performed in much of Eastern Europe and Russia. Nikita Boldyrev has performed solo in the cities of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Serbia. He has participated in guitar and jazz festivals in Russia, Poland, Austria, Serbia, Ukraine, Belarus, Romania, including the festivals “Guitar World” (Kaluga, 2009, 2013), “Guitar Virtuosos” (Moscow, 2012), “Strings” (Serbia, 2015), “Golden Vultures” (Moscow, 2017), “The Pink Panther” (Ufa, 2018), “Harmonia Cordis International Guitar Festival” (Romania, 2018). Over the past years he has given concerts and master classes in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Bryansk, Kirov, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Stavropol, Severodvinsk, Murmansk, Belgorod, Kursk, Orel, Ufa, Ulyanovsk, Penza and other cities of Russia. In addition, Nikita has participated in television and radio programs. Nikita Boldyrev repeatedly performed in a duo with such guitarists as Antal Pusztai (Hungary), Mikhail Olenchenko, Yuri Polezhaev, Dmitry Illarionov (Russia) and also with vocalists Katerina Kors, Nadezhda Gorelova, Maria Katz (aka Yudith, participant of Eurovision -1994). PRESS "It was very easy to talk with Nikita. He easily caught my harmonies, my ideas. In general, hearing his game and his musical abilities, I'm glad that not only guitar performers have appeared, but people with a broader horizon and free musical thinking" From an interview with Gennady Gladkov, famous Russian composer. "First of all, Nikita Boldyrev is a bright individuality. Despite the young age, this is an established, independent artist with, I'm not afraid of this word, unique musical thinking. This is a rare gift, especially for guitarists - there are quite a lot of technically strong performers, but people who penetrate so deeply and feel their own and other people's music, among them are few." Magazine "Where is culture" "Nikita Boldyrev won the hall not only with magnificent technique, but also with amazing charm and artistry." Mordovian philharmonic society "He could excite the young, the average age, and the old listeners and it's serious. My long-held belief is that music is full of life. Young energy, strength, pressure"¦ And good, happy, healthy hooliganism!" Valentin Galidin on the concert in the organ hall of the Chisinau Philharmonic "The young virtuoso conquered the hall with his natural and professional musical charm." "Vladimirskie Vedomosti" Nikita Boldyrev actively collaborates with composers Gennady Gladkov, Nikita Koshkin, Vyacheslav Osminin, Marina Landa and Yuri Markin. Since 2008 he has been a professor at the Guitar College (Moscow).
